日語學習 - 六個月師大推廣部的學習心得

From March 8th to August 19th, I studied Japanese for three semesters at National Taiwan Normal University (台灣師範大學). The course was taught by Teacher 張怡倩 every Monday. Due to breaks between semesters and national holidays, the entire study period took about six months.
Studying Japanese in continuing eduation course
Since she also taught Japanese at my alma mater, I had already heard about her teaching style and received feedback from friends who had taken her classes. This was the main reason I chose to study Japanese at NTNU.
Before this course, I remebered I went to 東吳大學推廣部 studying the basic Japanese in the summer of 2022 and it turned out bad result. I could only barely remembered 50 sounds in Japanese and some words and couldn't even manage the self-introduction.
After a year, I knew I always like to watch anime and did really want to learn deeper in any other language besides of English. Thus, I think it's the second reason I chose to study Japanese again and took the basic course by Teacher Chang. The course has followed up the books of series - 大家的日本語, every semester is teaching 5 lessons of the book, so at the end of the third semester, I finished the first book and ended at the second book's lesson 15.
Parts of the course
During the course, the teacher was good at preparing PPTs focused on the main points of the lesson, initiated pair practice about 練習A,B,C、文型、例文、会話, and provided many extracurricular supplement. I did love the pair practice very much, since I could try to speak out Japanese to remeber it more.
Many exercises in the course had the correct answers displayed on the screen, but there were also some spontaneous activities. For example, the teacher would randomly ask students to answer questions using the grammar or vocabulary we learned last week or in today's lesson.
The last course - making a conversation about 15 - 20 sentences
In the last course I took on 8/19, there were a new activity called 会話. The teacher gave every student a sheet of 5 living habits like
(O)歌を歌って良いですが
(X)テレビを目て良いですが
...
The sheet described your living habits about what you can accept and what you cannot, and you needed to find the person with the same habits. When you found the person, you two may wrote a small talk about your habits with the grammer we previously learend from the lesson 1 to lesson 15. I would like to share the final version of the conversation I made with my partner:
A: ええ。私もこのビデオを見ました。良いのビデオですね。
B: じゃ。午後7時にテレビを見に行きましょう。
A: 良いですよ。
Although there might have been some mistakes or sentences that weren't quite natural, we did our best in the thirty minutes and performed well in the presentation. In the end, I truly enjoyed learning Japanese with Ms. Chang and made some progress in strengthening my basics.
